Coming Soon and Deadline confirmed additions to the Tom Hiddleston's 'I Saw The Light.'

David Krumholtz, Josh Pais, James Dumont and Wrenn Schmidt were named as new cast members alongside Elizabeth Olsen and Maddie Hasson.

Olsen, whose latest work was 'Godzilla,' will take on the role of Williams' first wife. Maddie Hasson, from ABC series 'Twisted,' will play 19-year-old Billie Jean who Williams pursued after divorcing his first wife. She later married him but was eventually widowed when the country crooner died in 1953.

The biopic will be based on the life of legendary country singer Hank Williams played by 'Thor' star Tom Hiddleston. Although the announcement of Hiddleston's casting was met with several protests from fans and Williams' own family at first, the 'Avengers' star proved himself capable of such a big role.

Another country legend, Rodney Crowell, praised Tom Hiddleston's casting in 'I Saw The Light.' According to the singer, "the filmmakers chose the right actor for the job."

Crowell wrote a long account on Facebook about his time honing Tom Hiddleston to become Hank Williams.

According to Crowell, the Hollywood heartthrob is well into becoming the man who will be "finding his way into the heart of one of the greatest singer-songwriters of all time."

According to the country superstar, "the classically trained British actor" had immediately joined a performance for the Wheatland Music Festival a day after arriving in Nashville. When asked to perform 'I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry,' he had reportedly surprised Crowell by agreeing right away.

He "[skilfully] performed the tune before what must have been 1500 people."

The country singer added, "Later that night, with my band on the main stage, and with very little urging from me, he rendered a joyful version of 'Move It On Over.'"

Crowell concluded his account by praising the British actor's dedication to the role.

"After nearly a month spent collaborating with this gifted artist, I'm as respectful of the man's work ethic as I'm mystified by his transformational skills," he said. The 33-year-old actor had to lose so much weight just to look like the legendary singer.

Do you think Tom Hiddleston's 'I Saw The Light' will do Hank Williams justice?
