War Machine's suicide attempt was foiled by a prison guard in a Clark County jail in Las Vegas this week. An inspection of his cell also showed that the one of the suicide notes was addressed to his battered girlfriend Christy Mack.

The TMZ reported on War Machine's suicide attempt after talking to several law enforcement sources.

According to the report, the jail guard was walking past War Machine's cell around 9:30 in the evening when he saw the cage fighter "sitting on the ground with his feet up on the bunk bed. When the officer called to him he was unresponsive."

When he went in to check, he saw that War Machine (whose real name is Jonathan Koppenhaver) wrapped a piece of linen around his bed " was tied to the leg of the bed -- and his face was purple."

The jail guard immediately cut off the cord and foiled War Machine's suicide attempt. Koppenhaver has been placed under suicide watch and committed to a medical isolation cell.

Also, the TMZ claimed that the jail guards found suicide notes on his bunk and one of them was addressed to Christy Mack.

In an article from Washington Post, the cage fighter was supposed to have a court appearance on the day after War Machine's suicide attempt. He's awaiting trial for the attempted murder of battered girlfriend Christy Mack and her friend Corey Thomas.

Following the attack, the porn star documented her injuries on her Twitter account and among them were a broken nose, missing teeth, fractured ribs, ruptured liver and 18 broken bones around her eyes. She also claimed that War Machine came out at her with a knife.

The War Machine was arrested on August 15 in Simi Valley in California after a massive police hunt following the attack on his battered girlfriend Christy Mack.
