"Ghost In The Shell" movie adaptation is currently in development!

Previous reports suggested that "The Wolf of Wall Street" actress Margot Robbie is being eyed to star as the main character of the manga series. It was also reported that Dream Works is in charge to develop the live-action of the popular manga series

But most recently, some publications said that "Lucy" actress, Scarlett Johansson was also offered to take the lead role.

Youtube news channel, AMC Movie Talk announced that "Lucy" actress, Scarlett Johansson will replace Margot Robbie for the role of Motoko Kusanagi (the main protagonist).

The plot of the animated film of "GitS" provided by The Wrap reads:

"A live-action film based on the popular Japanese manga created by Masamune Shirow, the story follows the exploits of a member of a covert ops unit of the Japanese National Public Safety Commission that specializes in fighting technology-related crime. "

According Io9, the challenge for this movie is how to make the film accurate for the American script and actress since the main character Motoko Kusanagi is a Japanese.
