‘Pretty Little Liars’ Ending: Showrunner Marlene King Says ‘That’s Not The Ending Of The Show’

TV viewers can't help but always guess the ending of their favorite shows, like the "Pretty Little Liars" fans. In the past five seasons they keep on throwing theories on who 'A' is or how the show will end.

One of the fans' theories on the ending of ABC Family's smash hit teen mystery TV series is that Aria, Emily, Hanna, and Spencer wake up in Spencer's barn, implying that the entire series is just a dream, which means 'A' doesn't exist.

TV showrunner Marlene King has ruled out this one theory. She said on a Twitter post, "I can assure you that's not the ending of the show."

Could it be that the ending is all set for "Pretty Little Liars"?

Troian Bellisario, who plays Spencer Hastings in the series, posted on her Twitter months ago, "Hey @imarleneking courtesy of @dirtytucson screenwriting professor we now have an ending to our show."

She attached a photo of the tweet by @dirtytucson with text read as: "After 17 seasons [sic] of 'Pretty Little Liars' A is revealed and captured. The girls hug each other in a safe embrace, but are interrupted by the faint noise of a text. They read it aloud and stare into the distance, 'It's my turn, bitches. -B'"

If that will be the ending, "Pretty Little Liars" viewers may except that the TV series may return either on small or big screens because of the open ending. It might be a great end to start a new story for big screen.

King revealed to E! News on turning the TV series into film, "That's always been the ultimate goal, is that it ends its life in one medium and starts another life on film."

She added, "I love that. Oh, we want an in-theaters film. Big, big, big opening weekend, with all those 'Pretty Little Liars' fans are coming out. It would be so much fun. And we'd get to do so much like big stuff too."
