Carrie Underwood pregnant news reported how the "Something In The Water" singer talked about the gender and preparations for her first baby.

According to Carrie Underwood pregnant news reported by Country Music Television, the Grammy winner is holding off nursery decorations and other gender-related baby preparations until they have confirmed if the baby is a boy or a girl.

"We haven't really worried about too much," said the former "American Idol" winner. "Until we find out if it's gonna be a boy or a girl... We haven't really done anything with the room or anything."

The country star pointed out though that she already started buying a few things for the baby. "I bought a few books online -- kids books and stuff -- that I grew up with. Just little things. But we're kind of waiting to see if it's a he or a she," Carrie Underwood told Country Music Television.

The country hitmaker happily narrated that her first pregnancy has not been very had for her so far. "I feel really good. I think I've been really lucky in my symptoms thus far," she said.

"It's still strange to honestly wrap my head around it, as I'm sure it is with all pregnant people. But it's exciting," Carrie Underwood said.

Just recently, a report from Entertainment Tonight said the country singer launched her new single, entitled "Something In The Water". The track is from her "Greatest Hits: Decade #1" album to be released on December 9.

Carrie Underwood was pregnant and blooming while promoting the new single, which she described as a "joyous, uplifting song".

The Nashville songstress said it is "about changing your life for the better and waking up and having that a-ha moment and your life being different from that moment forward."

According to an earlier report from Daily Mail, Carrie Underwood took to Twitter to break the news that she and NHL star husband Mike Fisher will be welcoming their first baby.
