The upcoming Nokia phones 2014: Lumia 830, Lumia 735, and Lumia 730 have been launched but what's inside their colorful designs makes a lot of difference: that it the Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1 OS with Lumia Denim update.

Citing the analysis made by PC World, the fastest way to reach that vision is to offer midrange smartphones that can make more and more users appreciate what's inside the chassis: the Windows platform.

The all-new Windows Phone 8.1 update has become the selling point of Microsoft nowadays, and we can applaud the fact that yes, this innovation has fixed a lot of Lumia's flaws, not to mention the cutting-edge technology of Cortana.

But now that the company is trying to step it up a notch with the upcoming Lumia "Denim" software update, we can say that Microsoft is really trying to brag about something. Denim targets to be more promising than ever as it aims to solve the shutter lag issue that has long ruined the excellent Lumia smartphone cameras.

Also, it aims to redefine the whole Cortana experience, by making this digital assistant more responsive and proactive through the "active listening" feature we already found in the Moto X.

Accentuating the edge of Microsoft smartphone platform over the others, head of experiences marketing for Microsoft's Devices Group Ifi Majid told PC World that: "People can have access to information and content that's relevant to them wherever they are, no matter what they're doing, to get things done and become more productive,"

"But while that kind of content and information can work across many different devices, it's better on Microsoft devices" he strongly pronounced.

Majid might be referring to the ability to send information from one app to another. Although Android already has this feature, reviews attest that Windows implementation seems more smooth and intact. 'The Share' feature can easily be found in the Charms menu with a number of third-party apps supporting it as well.

Citing the feedback mentioned in Forbes "Windows Phone is fast becoming a very viable alternative to the other operating systems thanks to the intuitive interface and brilliant integration across other Microsoft products like Outlook, Office and even Xbox, allowing users to seamlessly connect their smartphone to their lives. Microsoft has kept up a commendable launch schedule with a range of devices all with impressive specifications addressing each level of the market."

It is worth noting however that the Windows Phone 8.1 Update + Denim both rolled into one is fairly impressive, alongside the cheaper price tags of Nokia Lumia 830, the ideal selfie phone Nokia Lumia 735 with 5Mp wide-angle front-facing camera, and Nokia Lumia 730. But innovation wise, feature-wise, Microsoft is pretty-much keeping it on the low key.

Perhaps this strategy might make more people appreciate the platform of Microsoft for smartphones; perhaps this tactic of making Windows Phone 8.1 update available to more and more 'decent' devices might do the trick in increasing their shares; Or perhaps, the same 'so-so' impression towards these Nokia phones might remain.
