After a disastrous race in Charlotte, Brad Keselowski made sure that it will not happen again in Talladega.
Keselowski had a terrible Charlotte Race as he got fined $50,000 by NASCAR and got him almost eliminated in the Chase because of the incident.
It can be remembered that NASCAR has sanctioned two race car drivers for their involvement in the brawl at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. NASCAR fined Brad Keselowski $50,000 and Tony Stewart $25,000 on Tuesday.
Both of the drivers were placed under probation saying that the penalties "are about maintaining a safe environment following the race."
The ruckus happened during the cool down lap when Hamlin admittedly brake-checked Keselowski to show his displeasure with how Keselowski raced him over the final two laps.
Right after that, Keselowski tried to spin Hamlin but was not successful.
Hamlin, Kenseth and Keselowski are competing for the Sprint Cup championship, and poor finishes Saturday night have Kenseth and Keselowski on the brink of elimination.
Keselowski said of his Talladega race which had Kenseth accidentally assisting him win. "'I know there's probably some people out there that aren't really happy I won. I can understand that. But I'm a man like anyone else and not real proud of last week. But I'm real proud of today."
"'It was funny how this racing world works out. I don't know why it is that way. I don't know why it seems like every week where there's either a fight in the garage or a mishap or something like that happens, those two cars and people end up together."
Three of the racers who need to win including Keselowski, Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr were on the race to the victory lane. But in the end, it was Keselowski who race the checkered flag.
Keselowski team owner Roger Penske said "I'll take the 50 grand and the win this week, wouldn't you?"
Team Penske defended his driver saying "These guys are jealous of the job he's done this year. He's won six races. He's made poles. He's been up front. Nobody likes to see a guy win like that."
Adding "I want him to get mad. I don't want him to take it. We talked about it (last week). I said, 'Brad, put it in the rearview mirror."
