If a villain has a dignity, it must be like the one Kang Dong Yoon (Kim Sang Joong) showed on the recent episode of "The Chaser." At the verge of being a president, he became a criminal who ordered an incitement of the murder. But he stayed calm the whole time and even smiled facing his own downfall.

He faced his ruin with smile despite his cold personality. Although his secretary Shin Hye Ra (Jang Shin Young) suggested different ways to escape legal charges and reclaim his status, he quietly declined. He even warmly comforted his secretary who's been working with him for past 10 years.

He said, "there is no tomorrow for us. I've done my best past 10 years and I've lived my life thinking that I would live just the way I have the second time. So I have no regret." He even voluntarily took on the crimes that his secretary has committed.

When he went to say Good-bye to his father in law, he was still poised. Even though his father-in-law suggested him to flee to abroad, he politely declined knowing that he would be eventually summoned and forced to divorce his wife. He requested his father-in-law to be a good dad for his wife while he is gone to pay for all the crimes he's been committed.

Then, even his father-in-law stood up to give him a hug, which he never does. He said to Kang Dong Yoon, "Only if you were born in a richer family, you could've gotten the title without having to break laws. You've done your best indeed" as he patted on Dong Yoon's back.

But here's the catch. He surely does look all dignified and poised but what about the life of 17-year-old girl that he killed and all other laws that he's been breaking. His attitude facing his ruin almost makes the audience overlook all the crimes he's been committing and sympathize with him. Thus we must stay critical in watching a drama in order to not fall for the facade.
