According to TechCrunch, a near hack involving tapping on the version number in the settings unveiled an Android game with the object of dodging giant lollipops. Sound familiar? Yes, the lollipops replace the flapping birds maneuvering through pipe-like obstacles. The lollipops have to move in a similar fashion as the flappy birds. It is "playable in the same manner as the pixelated bird that frustrated millions of gamers worldwide," reports Greenbot.
With so many Flappy Bird clones around and the original developer creating his version of the sequel 'Swing Copter,' Flappy Bird may have lost its glory. Nonetheless the Android 5 version is a tribute to Dong Nguyen's Flappy Bird. The Android 5 Lollipop, as the game is dubbed, is also an addictive video download game and the game is played by tapping the screen to keep the lollipops from collapsing.
Greenbot reports, "The story behind the story: This may be the closest thing to Flappy Bird that Android 5.0 devices will be able to get. Flappy Bird was a viral hit, racking up millions of downloads and frustrating gamers worldwide. It also inspired a litany of clones that flooded the Google Play Store and Apple's App Store."
