This early, the web is abuzz with comparisons between Samsung Galaxy Alpha vs. Samsung Galaxy S5.

For starters, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha will be larger where it matters. Reports claim that Samsung is looking at a larger screen and better screen resolution for the new smartphone. A premium design chassis is also underway.

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha in essence will be an improved version of the Samsung Galaxy S5. Some tech reports claim that it may come in two variants- Galaxy S5 F and Galaxy S5 Alpha. Samsung has yet to confirm these speculations.

Galaxy Alpha was originally slated for a June release. But there have been no statements from Samsung about a launch, or the lack of one. Rumors would now suggest a late 2014 launch.

Samsung has also been mum about the global release of the new smartphone. Rumors have started to surface that the South Korean innovation giant has had problems with building the phone.

Christian Post explained, "A worldwide release, however, is uncertain as there are rumors that a working prototype or alpha build is difficult to get hold of. Having to increase the screen size to accommodate the QHD display."

"Samsung is also reportedly having difficulties producing the metal cases for the phone meaning only a limited number of phones will be built. The limitation might even make the Galaxy Prime a South Korean exclusive release."

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha will try to improve on the areas where the S5 lacked in comparison to other smartphones.

"Unlike Apple's iPhone 5 or HTC's One M8, the Samsung Galaxy S5 feels cheap in terms of build quality as the body is mainly made of plastic. The Galaxy S5 is also beat by the LG G3 in terms of screen resolution, with the G3 offering a QHD display compared to the S5's Full HD display," Christian Post added.
