Stephen Sondheim's irreverent take on your typical fairy tale, Into The Woods will be screening this holiday season, and already it is making waves with its big announcements and news. One of the most exciting things that this movie has going for it is its stellar cast. Counted among the Into The Woods movie cast are such A-list actors such as Meryl Streep, Chris Pine, Johnny Depp, Emily Blunt, and Anna Kendrick. And of course they're all more or less expected to sing!

We've had exciting photos of the Into The Woods movie cast from Meryl Streep as The Witch, Emily Blunt as The Baker's Wife, Chris Pine as Prince Charming and Anna Kendrick as Cinderella. But the look of Johnny Depp has been kept under wraps, with only his furry arms shown in photos. That is, until today, when the Big Bad Wolf in all his scheming glory is splashed on the cover of Entertainment Weekly.

Johnny Depp certainly looks as if he were born to play the part! The actor looks predatory and threatening, while poor Little Red Riding Hood stands behind him. The rest of the Into The Woods cast also get their photo treatments in the different cover shoots that Entertainment Weekly did, with photos of Meryl Streep not being her terrifying witch self, standing with Mackenzie Mauzy as Rapunzel. We also see other cover version with James Corden as The Baker, Emily Blunt as The Baker's Wife, Chris Pine and Anna Kendrick as the Prince and Cinderella.

It will be recalled that the Into The Woods musical debuted in 1986 and parodies the classic tales of Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, Cinderella, and Jack And the Beanstalk. Meanwhile, the official synopsis of the movie goes, "What begins as a lively irreverent fantasy musical eventually becomes a meaningful tale about responsibility, the problems that comes from wishes, and the legacy we leave our children.

Director Robe Marshall helms this film with its star studded Into The Woods movie cast, and the movie will premiere on Christmas day this year.
