Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard tell their big revelation. The young couple has been very open to the public about their first baby. The "19 Kids and Counting" star did not hold back sharing the gender of their Baby Dilly. According to People, they will be having a baby boy.
"I was really excited. As a new dad, to have a firstborn son to be our first child and be the leader of his siblings, it is very special," Derick shared with People.
Reportedly, Jill's siblings Joy, 16, James, 13 and Jenny, 7 joined the couple in the room during the gender-revealing ultrasound.
"Oh yes, there was some screaming in the room. I thought all along we were having a girl. Everyone made their guesses," Jill said.
People reported that the Dillards announced the baby's gender with a breakfast of waffles with syrup and whipped cream, fruit, chocolate milk and lemonade.
"He stretched out his legs full length," says Jill. "He was trying to be like Dad."
In a video previously posted online for her 19 Kids and Counting fans, Jill whos is now on the second trimester, noted that this part of her pregnancy is a very exciting one since they'll get to know the gender of their baby.
"We're excited to feel the baby move, find out the gender, feel better," she said. "You're not super pregnant, yet... Yeah, it's exciting."
The reality star shared that a lot of people are giving their opinions about #BabyDilly's gender during that time.
Christian Post recently reported that Jill chose to give birth at home. Online publication Examiner noted that the home where she'll have the baby is the first house that they have shared together as a married couple. Reportedly, she will be bringing in a trained mid-wife to help her.
