There are 2 dead after the Washington High School shootout and the suspect is a male student.
Based on the recent report of ABC News, the police said that the suspected high school student shooter opened fire in the cafeteria at lunchtime.
The first report said there was one person dead and four injured during that shootout.
Marysville police administrative Commander Robb Lamoreaux confirmed that one of the dead victims was a female, but the police commander didn't say if she's a student or staff member.
Commander Lamoureaux also confirmed that the shooting suspect was a male student at Marysville Pilchuck High School.
According to the follow-up report, four "young people" who were injured were transported to a local hospital. Three of them got critical head wounds, according to the hospital official. He also said that the fourth victim is a young man with less severe injuries.
Dr. Joanne Roberts of Providence Regional Medical Center said, "It's our worst nightmare."
The Local ABC station KOMO, interviewed the eyewitness Alyx Peitzsch. She said she was in the cafeteria when the shooting started and she heard four gunshots.
Her estimated numbers of people in cafeteria during that time is 50. She ran out of the room when she heard the shots.
Many students including her ran to a church near the school where her mother picked her up.
