That's not a joke. It is a fact. — christine teigen (@chrissyteigen) October 22, 2014
I've lost faith in this world. Sorry if it comes off as being unemotional. There is just so much bad.

As per CNN report, after Teigen tweeted this post, negative reaction quickly appered on her timeline. After the quick negative responses, Chrissy Teigen had to clarify that she was not making a joke at the expense of Canada, but as a sardonic observation about gun control in America.
Although she made a clarification, responses on Teigen were unstoppable. Some users said, "You should probably stick to having your picture taken for a living," "So, how much of a stupid bitch are you?" said by another one.
Teigen also posted a photo of the responses she was receiving on Twitter. The publication said that the supermodel was suggesting that the platform should be more proactive about stomping out threatening tweets.

On October 23, she announced that she will not longer use Twitter.
I feel sick. Bye Twitter. Taking my talents to instagram.

One of the supermodel's last few Twitter posts reads:
"I can't see anything through the sea of hate and anger that is now my Twitter. Seriously I can't sift through it all. It's gotten to the point people don't even see (t)he simplicity of the original tweet and have just wanted to get shaking-mad over something."
Another post she shared was also a threatening message from a Twitter user who hoped that,
"someone murders some(one) you love, like your f****t husband."
And her farewell message for her Twitter account reads,
"I feel sick. Bye Twitter. Taking my talents to Instagram."
