Kobe Bryant news updates reveal that the rust of not playing for nearly two years is starting to come off, as the purple and gold's team's main man expresses his sympathy for Steve Nash who is not likely to play this season.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported on the latest Kobe Bryant news update as it said that the Black Mamba is raring to get the season started.

"It's a mixture of things," Bryant said, explaining what he feels as the season draws near. "It's a mixture of excitement, it's a mixture of a little nervousness, it's a mixture of rage. I'm trying to see if I can prove to myself that I can be myself. All those words and the doubts add fuel to that."

Coach Byron Scott also teased some Kobe Bryant news, particularly when it comes to his conditioning. He just played six games last season due to the Achilles tear that he sustained in April last year. While he managed to return, he fractured his knee cap which caused the team to shut him down for good.

"His wind is good, the rust is starting to come off. He has been in the league for 18 years, is a veteran and will be a Hall of Famer. He dissects defenses and knows what to do," he added.

The 36-year-old Kobe Bryant had a good preseason and showed that he could still compete although it's obvious that he still has to get his legs under him.

Meanwhile, in other Kobe Bryant news from National Post, the Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard shared that Steve Nash did everything he can to recover from injury and play.

"From that standpoint, he should be able to sleep at night. I know I would. I can only think about that in my situation; I just tried to do everything possible to be ready, and if it wasn't in the cards, if I couldn't get back to being at that level, you just have to accept it," he said.
