Casey Kasem's death is being linked to his children's decision to separate him from his second wife, Jean Kasem. According to a report from MyNewsLA, a doctor has revealed that the radio star's transfer from his home to a hospital "worsened" his condition.
The revelation was made by Dr. Donald Sharmann, who reportedly looked after Casey Kasem before his death last June 15. The doctor detailed in court papers that moving the late "American Top 40" host from his Washington home to a St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor only aggravated his health.
"It is my opinion that Casey's condition deteriorated because of the emotional distress and the physical stress of transferring him from Silverdale to Gig Harbor, which is an approximate 30-minute ride and also due to the exposures he was subjected to in the hospital during the first 24-hours of observation at that facility," the doctor revealed, reported by MyNewsLA.
The said Casey Kasem death news update somewhat supports Casey Kasem's wife, Jean Kasem, and her daughter, Liberty Kasem. According to a report from Santa Monica Mirror, the second family of Casey Kasem is accusing the children from his first marriage of "lying".
Jean Kasem's camp said the former "America's Top 40" host was actually doing well in Washington until Kerri Kasem and his children from his first marriage took him away.
Liberty Kasem claimed her stepsiblings are not telling the truth. She said: "My dad suffered. Nobody should be treated like that. He's not an animal."
"I'm going to have justice for my dad," Liberty Kasem said.
The radio veteran's death has been surrounded by intrigues as Casey Kasem's children said their father was being kept away from them by their stepmother, Jean Kasem.
According to People magazine, the feud started after the beloved radio star became sick with Parkinson's and dementia, then eventually died last June 15 in Gig Harbor, Washington.
Kerri Kasem then sent a lawyer to Gaffney Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Tacoma, Washington, where Casey Kasem's body was confirmed by police to be missing. To date, the radio star's remains are still unknown by his first family.
