Finally, "Grimm" season 4 Gedachtnis Esser arrived in episode 1 and it was aired last October 24.

The new Wesen on "Grimm" season named Gedachtnis Esser or also known as Octopus wesen appeared in episode 1 : "Thanks for the Memories." He killed a man in order to get the memories and even its wife.

"Grimm" Season 4 Gedachtnis Esser, took the memories on his victim, in order to get the information that he needs. The victim's memories has something to do with a research and it is not actually clear how important the research of the victim as this episode only showed previous events.

Since Nick has no power (or lost its Grimm power), Trubel will be his helping hand to catch bad-ass Wesen.

Sad news, Capt. Renard was still in critical condition after he was shot during an encounter at Nick's house. Adalind already left the town, meaning it will difficult for Nick's alliance to find a cure for the spell.

On the last episode of season 3, Sergeant Wu (Reggie Lee) found a book which contains different kind of monsters and information how to kill those. So in the first episode of season 4, Wu was trying to figure out if the monster that he encountered before, which is known as "aswang," is true. Hank Griffin (Russell Hornsby) supposedly revealed the truth about supernatural world but they were disturbed on the announcement of a doctor about the Captain's condition.

Nick and Hank was handling the case of the researhcer who had been attacked by Gedachtnis Esser. The victim lost its memories and they caught the suspect (which is the Gedachtnis Esser). The only problem here was, Nick can't see if he is a wesen. They asked helped from Trubel to confirm if the suspect is really the wesen or the killer.

The episode 1 of season left a cliff-hanger as it ended when Nick, Hank, and Trubel will follow the Octopus wesen. Still, Nick didn't get his 'Grimm' powers.
