'Clicker Heroes', iOS Android Flappy Bird-Like Game Of 2015, 'Enormous Battery Life-Killer For The Obsessed'

Clicker Heroes. You might still be stuck on the original version of the Flappy Bird or even Flappy Bird 2, Swing Copter, both which have a huge following on the Internet. But new reports say that the 'Clicker Heroes' is the next big mobile game of 2015. Currently, it's only browser-based, but its developer is expected to take it to Apple and Android App store levels next year. In a nutshell, Clicker Heroes is described as simplistic, yet addicting.

"Clicker Heroes has tapped into the primal part of the minds of gamers who are obsessed with leveling, monster slaying and the eternal pursuit of DPS," writes Paul Tassi, contributor to Forbes.com. You can get a feel for the game here.

Tassi adds, "You click on a monster until it dies, then you buy a new hero to increase your damage so higher level monsters can die a little faster as you progress through the levels. Every time you start to feel like your clicks are powerful and your DPS is solid, you move up a level and have to buy new heroes and upgrades to get that feeling back again"

It's known across the gaming world, MMOs can be games without a timed ending, since it allows for multi-player functions. Developer Playsaurus was convinced that their concepts for the Clicker Heroes evolved after gamers get addicted to the game and ask for more content or added functions.

Once Playsaurus decides to go with iOS and Android platforms, Clicker Heroes, which at the moment does not carry adverts, will have to think about monetizing Clicker Heroes with microtransactions and advertisements such as banner ads on the Clicker Heroes website. Before Dong Nguyen took down his hugely popular, Flappy Bird, saying it was addictive, he presumably drew approximately $50,000 in ad revenue.

Forbes describes Clicker Heroes as, "a perfect blend of active participation that begs for constant tapping (Flappy Bird) while also making players wait for upgrades as they save up resources (Clash of Clans)," adding, "and it's hopelessly addictive, perhaps the most notable hallmark of any top mobile game. The only problem is that a complete lack of time gates (seemingly a good thing) means it would be an enormous battery life-killer in its current form for the obsessed."
