Song Seung Hun attempts to prevent a mass slaughtering of Catholics by disclosing the future.

On episode 19 of 'Dr. Jin', which aired on July 28, Jin Hyuk (Song Seung Hun) requests that Lee Ha Eung (Lee Bum Soo) to stop the persecution of Catholics.

He warns Ha Eung that France will use the Catholic persecution as an excuse to wage war. He also discloses that Ha Eung will become the king's father and is in danger of dying.

However, Ha Eung tells Jin Hyuk, "There is no justification to stop the persecution. There is nothing I can do if there is no justification or benefit for stopping it. That is politics."

This does not stop Jin Hyuk from trying to stop the persecution. He eventually makes Ha Eung meet with French priest Ridel in a direct attempt to prevent the war.

Through Jin Hyuk's arbitration, Ha Eung agrees to allow the spread of Catholicism as long as France does not demands of trade. Viewers are now wondering whether the king will continue to uphold the seclusion policy.

In the same episode, Ha Eung attempts to find a contract between Kim Byung Hee (Kim Eung Soo) and queen dowager Cho (Park Hye Sun) in order to prove that they were plotting together.
