Which of these devices is the worth the purchase? We compare the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Nexus 6 to see which is better.

In terms of design and display,the Nexus 6 comes with a 10.1 mm thickness and weighs 184 grams. This makes the device not only thicker, but also heavier than the Galaxy Note 4 which only weighs 176 grams and has a thickness of 8.5 mm. Both devices come with a combination of plastic and a metal finish that puts them into the premium-looking smartphone circle among other players such as Apple’s iPhone or HTC’s One M8.The Nexus 6 offers white and blue variants, while the Galaxy Note 4 provides gold and pink options.

The Nexus 6 has a 5.96 inch display and a resolution of 2560 x 1440 combined with a 493 ppi pixel density. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes with the same resolution, but a greater pixel density of 515 ppi.

Both devices count on AMOLED to light up their screens. The Note 4 also includes the S-Pen, while the Nexus 6 doesn’t require nor include a stylus.There are a few elements that the Note 4 can brag about, as they are missing from the Nexus 6, such as the heart rate monitor, fingerprint scanner or the multi-window feature, but that doesn’t mean that the battle is over just yet. For many, those things don’t even matter.

In terms of hardware and OS, both devices are equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor which features 4 cores and a clock speed of 2.7 GHz. The RAM capacity is also the same, 3 GB, while the internal memory options are in the advantage of the Note 4, which offers support for microSD. As for as built-in memory, they have the same 32 and 64 GB variants.

Although the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will most likely get the newest Android update in the near future, its release OS is Android KitKat. The Nexus 6 on the other hand will feature Android 5.0 Lollipop right out the box, giving it an early advantage against its rival.
