Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift are known to be very close friends. So close, in fact, that the 'Shake It Off' singer has been reportedly asking the British pop star for relationship advice.
"Taylor adores Ed and thinks he's a really good judge of character, so she's asked him to be her matchmaker," a source said, according to Heat Magazine via J-14.
The 'Thinking Out Loud' singer even confirmed to some of his fans that he's been setting Swift up with his "good-looking mates."
Is the 'Don't' singer enjoying romance so much that he wants his best friend to experience it, too?
Heat Magazine added, "He genuinely cares about Taylor and she knows that he won't set her up with any playboys."
"I have tried to set Taylor up with a few of my friends," he previously told the fans who turned up for an intimate session last month. According to US Weekly, he had wanted his BFF to date Orlando Bloom. That didn't seem to work out though, so he's setting his sights on another friend.
The insider says he's looking at a musician friend as the perfect boyfriend for Swift. According to the publication, the singer-songwriter wants the 'Out Of The Woods' songstress to date Ryan Keen whom he met in 2011.
"Ed wants to get him to NYC where Taylor lives and work out a good time for them to meet. She's even joked that if he finds her a husband, she'll name her first child after him," the insider further revealed.
Are Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift still collaborating even in romantic relationships and future families?
Swift already had a brief tryst with one of Sheeran's mates. She dated One Direction's Harry Styles for some time and has allegedly been writing songs about him. Reports even say that Styles is awkwardly defending his ex-girlfriend from mates who have been making fun of her for doing so.
