From the Victorian cityscape that was shown off through Twitter last time, producers are now looking into a more natural setting. It looks like the Showtime series will be taking our group of misfits into more rural surroundings. Producer Christopher King revealed the breathtaking new "office" for 'Penny Dreadful' season 2 through his personal account!
For those who are eagerly awaiting the kinds of horror the show will bring in next year, makeup artist Sarita Allison teased about painting "pointy ears" on social media. She previously shared that the staff has been busy working on prosthetics and other "dreadful" makeup.
"Been pre painting those pointy ears amongst other things today...@SHO_Penny #PennyDreadful #prosthetics #makeupfx and all things dreadful..." the makeup artist tweeted last Wednesday.
With the natural setting that King hinted at and the "pointy ears" that Allison has been pre-painting, could we be finally seeing Ethan Chandler (Josh Hartnett) in his wolf form in 'Penny Dreadful' season 2? Maybe the group will be embarking on another trip to find Dracula again.
One of the new "monsters" that viewers are definitely excited to see is Brona's (Bree Turner) appearance after Victor Frankenstein (Harry Treadaway) resurrects her to become The Creature's bride.
Fans wouldn't have long to find out. James Hawes (director for episode one) seems to be in the final stages of preparing the premiere episode. Despite watching "through his fingers for all the wrong reasons" in the editing room, the helmer maintained an optimistic outlook.
He tweeted, "But then, as a director friend said to me, unless you're standing on the edit suite window ledge, vomiting with fear, it's gonna be great!"
