After the success of "John Wick", Keanu Reeves has signed a deal for another movie.

Reeves will be once again back in a sci-fi film in "Replicas", wherein he will portray a role of a neuroscientist who wants to bring back the lives of his family who died in a car accident even if it means putting himself in a conflict with a government-controlled laboratory and even the police and the physical laws.

"Replicas" will be directed by "Hyteria" director Tanya Wexler. Reeves, who will also produce the film, will be working with producer Stephen Hamel and Lorenzo di Bonaventura and with Fundamental Films.

Di Bonaventura said as published at Variety, "From my experience working with Keanu on 'The Matrix' franchise through our collaboration on 'Constantine', I have always been impressed by Keanu's ability to bring a genuine level of humanity to the sci-fi genre through his performance. I am looking forward to collaborating with Keanu once again on this unique take on what lengths a person will go to alter the past, and the implications of those actions."

Chad St. John will write the screenplay based on the treatment developed by Reeves and Hamel. Production will start in spring 2015.

Keanu Reeves has already made his mark on sci-fi genre film, with his notable role as Neo in "The Matrix" trilogy not to mention his dodging-bullet move. The success in "The Matrix" and his recent film "John Wick", perhaps, gave Lotus Entertainment's confidence that the 50-year-old actor can bring the movie to box office.

"We loved the notion of taking the 'how far will a man go to save his family' story hook and then adding a high concept sci-fi twist," said Lotus Entertainment's Bill Johnson and Jim Seibel as published at The Hollywood Reporter.

They added, "Keanu had obviously had a lot of success in the sci-fi genre, and we are excited to have him anchoring a story, which we believe will have great appeal to audience across the globe."
