The season 5 premiere of AMC's TV hit series, "The Walking Dead" started last October 12, and every Norman-Reedus fan was excited to see him once again as Daryl Dixon.

While on the break, there were speculations about the TV show and one of them was the sexual orientation of the audience's favorite character crossbow expert Daryl Dixon. Norman Reedus had said something about it when asked by Kevin Frazier during an interview at ET.

"Whatever that decision is, I want to play it as real as possible. When a boy meets a girl, it's usually very awkward. I would like to play the awkwardness up as much as possible," he replied. It was up to us to find out what Reedus really meant by "awkwardness" when the show returns on October 12.

The talk on Daryl Dixon's sexual preference is despite the character is being linked to other fictional characters such as Carol Peletier and Beth Greene, played by Melissa McBride and Emily Kinney, respectively. With Reedus' answer, we can still assume that none of the two female characters has yet to be seriously romantically involved with Daryl.

Meanwhile, Reedus revealed to GQ his teenage life when he graced the cover of the magazine October issue. At less than 13 years old, the "Boondock Saint" star had the chance to travel with a tennis coach which led him to play indoors in Kalamazoo in Michigan. He played clay courts with free clothes and rackets at that time.

He remembered playing with former World No. 1 tennis player Andre Agassi during a practice game with a group of people but they never played one on one.

The 45-year-old actor also told GQ that he "was never really that good [at tennis], and I was never really that driven at that either."

The time that Reedus said that "this is over" was when his ankle got sprained really bad during a tournament where he really had to win. While nursing the sprain with ice bucket, he "was just like 'This isn't fun for me'. I just walked away."
