News about Melanie Griffith split with Antonio Banderas was confirmed in June 2014

. Based on "Desperado" actor and "Working Girl" announcement, they inform the public about their intention oif divorce "in a loving and friendly manner". As per petition they've filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court, the couple had "irreconcilable differences" that led them to file a divorce.

On an interview done by Extra TV, the "Working Girl" was asked what she's doing after the separation from former husband Banderas after 18 years of marriage. She said, "I'm just kind of laying low."
After that question, Griffith was asked about what kind of man would she like to meet?

She answered, "I think I'd like to meet a cowboy, like a real man... somebody who's a man and who's not concerned with this town."

Her daughter Dakota Johnson stars in the film adaptation of "Fifty Shades Of Grey." According to Extra TV, Melanie and her ex-husband will not probably watch their daughter's upcoming movie. Griffith admitted that she finds it awkward to see her daughter in a hot scene.

Her exact statement reads, "It would just be too awkward. I think [Dakota] would be mortified if we came to see her movie. You can see up 'til I lose my virginity and that's it.'"

She also mentioned that Dakota already has a passion in acting since she was a child.

"She hated school. Around 11th grade, she was like, 'I'm going to be an actress. I'm going to be really big. I'm going to be bigger than you,' and she is... there is no lack of confidence with Dakota."

The film adaptation of "Fifty Shades Of Grey" will premiere on February 15, 2015. Watch the trailer below,
