Which smartphone is the better purchase for consumers? We compare the Nokia Lumia 630 and the Blackberry Z10 to see which is better.

In terms of design and display,the Nokia Lumia 630 is equipped with a 4.5 inches IPS LCD screen, which supports a resolution of 480x854pixels. It has a plastic back cover with vivid colors, which extend to the buttons and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.The thickness of the smartphone is at 0.36 inches, and it weighs 134 grams.

Meanwhile, the BlackBerry Z10 has a 4.2 inches display and can render a resolution of 768×1,280pixels. It has a textured plastic back panel which looks rubberized which makes comfortable to hold and it feels solid. It is 0.35 inches thick and it weighs 138 grams.

For hardware and OS, the BlackBerry Z10 is equipped with a 1.5GHz dual-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus) Krait processor. It has a 16GB of internal storage which is expandable for up to 64GB and it runs on the BlackBerry 10 OS (which is upgradable to the 10.1 version) with 2GB of RAM.

The Nokia Lumia 630 is equipped with a1.2GHz quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 400) ARM Cortex-A7 processor. T. It has only a 8GB of internal storage, but it can be expanded up to 128GB. The smartphone runs on the Windows Phone 8.1 OS with only 512MB of RAM.

For the battery and camera specs, the BlackBerry Z10 has a better rear camera of 8MP, with LED Flash, and the front camera is 2MP, while the Nokia Lumia 630 sports only a 5MP camera.

The Nokia Lumia 630 is equipped with a Li-Ion 1830mAh battery which allows users to talk for about 16 hours on the phone. IN stand by mode, it lasts 600 hours – 288 hours more. The BlackBerry Z10 on the other hand has a Li-Ion 1800mAh battery which allows users to talk for about 10 hours.

Both smartphones support a Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspot and micro-sim type. Only the BlackBerry unit supports NFC, while the Nokia unit has a dual-sim mode.

The BlackBerry Z10 16GB, 4G LTE version is worth $235, while the Nokia Lumia 630 is $35 cheaper than its competitor.
