Fans looking forward to seeing "Fifty Shades of Grey" cast Jamie Dornan fully naked would be sorely disappointed as he said the film aims to appeal to as wide an audience as possible, which rules out any frontal nudity.
In an interview with The Guardian, "Fifty Shades of Grey" cast Jamie Dornan said that he has signed a contract which assures that his junk won't be splashed across the screens all over the world.
"You want to appeal to as wide an audience as possible without grossing them out. You don't want to make something gratuitous, and ugly, and graphic," he said.
"There were contracts in place that said that viewers wouldn't be seeing my, um... my todger," he added.
"Fifty Shades of Grey" cast Jamie Dornan said that the book is very graphic but the film is only an adaptation and the director, Sam Taylor-Johnson "is a very bright woman" so fans might infer from the suggestive elements in the movie about what the main characters are doing.
"But I haven't seen it at this stage, so it is hard for me to say. I'm aware of what we shot, and it wasn't as if we shot a film without any action," he added. "It's an adaptation, and Sam Taylor-Johnson is an artist as well as an award-winning film director. Look at her track record. And look at the film studios behind it. Universal. Focus. All I can say is, wait until you see it before passing judgment."
Previously, "Fifty Shades of Grey" cast Dakota Johnson, who plays Anastasia Steele, said that she forbade her parents from watching the film.
Her mother, Melanie Griffith, was asked if she's excited to see the film, but the "Body Double" star is not going.
"[Dakota] was like, 'You guys cannot come. There's no way.' So we're not going," she said in an article from Indie Wire.
However, she wasn't banned on the set and Melanie Griffith admitted to visiting her daughter during production.
"I did go visit for a couple of days when they were shooting just normal stuff. I did see the Room of Pain - I did go in there and check it out," she added.
