The Gran Turismo 7 release date has been confirmed and Polyphony has revealed some new details about the much anticipated PS4 exclusive racing game.
Polyphony Digital confirmed that the PS4 exclusive game, Gran Turismo 7 is being worked on right now and they have confirmed that the previous Gran Turismo 7 release date rumors saying that the game would be out this 2014 are simply not true.
Gaming news site Cyberland has noted that Polyphony Digital said that the Gran Turismo 7 release date is on May 2015.
The CEO of Polyphony Digital, Kazunori Yamauchi, told Eurogamer during the Goodwood Festival, "We are working on the title. I don't think it'll make this year!"
Yamauchi also said that the upcoming Gran Turismo 7 for the PS4 will not be a Prologue. Instead, the studio is focusing on the full title development of the racing game.
As cited on Trusted Reviews, the creator of Gran Turismo noted, "I don't think it'll be a Prologue."
Yamauchi also revealed that that Gran Turismo 7 audio and visuals would be improved.
Fans of the old GT cars should not be worried about the possibility that these vehicles might be removed as it has been confirmed that those cars that have been present since 2004 will still be available in Gran Turismo 7. Some of them might even enter the Premium category.
Yamauchi also noted that that are also working in raising the inventory for premium cars in Gran Turismo 7.
Yamauchi said, "I doubt that we'll be throwing away the standard cars. Each car has its own fans, so I think we'll hang on to the archive. In the meanwhile, some of those cars we may be able to make into Premium cars as they become available - but basically we're more focussed on increasing the number of premium cars."
