Is Taylor Swift dating anybody right now? She has been insisting that she isn't.

According to past reports though, her BFF Ed Sheeran has been trying to set her up with some of his "good-looking mates."

Heat Magazine reported that the 'Shake It Off' singer has been asking Sheeran for some relationship advice. Because he "adores" her, he allegedly tried to set her up with one of his British musician friends, Ryan Keen.

"Ed wants to get him to NYC where Taylor lives and work out a good time for them to meet. She's even joked that if he finds her a husband, she'll name her first child after him," an insider revealed to the publication.

However, did Taylor Swift really ask her 'Everything Has Changed' collab partner for help? Her latest interview with Cosmopolitan seems to suggest otherwise.

"People will say, 'Let me set you up with someone,' and I'm just sitting there saying, 'That's not what I'm doing. I'm not lonely; I'm not looking,'" the 'Blank Space' singer told the magazine.

She also lamented, "They just don't get it."

Is she talking about Ed Sheeran? Did she reject the 'Thinking Out Loud' crooner's attempts at finding her soul mate for her?

Whether she did meet Keen or not, it looks like Taylor Swift dating anyone seriously won't be something to look out for in the near future.

The 24-year-old continued to tell Cosmopolitan that meeting a guy that "is cute and wants to date you" shouldn't be "a reason to sacrifice your independence and allow everyone to say whatever they want about you. I'm not doing that anymore..."

She even urges her fans to "go at it alone."

"Life can be romantic without having a romance. I'm very attracted to how happy I am now," she shared.

Does this mean that Ed Sheeran's wish to see Taylor Swift dating one of his "good-looking mates" is coming to an end? Do you want the 23-year-old songwriter to pick out Swift's next boyfriend?
