"Pride and Prejudice," starring Choi Jin Hyuk and Baek Jin Hee, achieved ratings in the double digits this week. The third episode of the drama rated 11.6 percent, a bump of 0.6 percent from the second episode.

"Pride and Prejudice" has held the lead since it began last week but the margin between it and the competing dramas has grown.

While the drama claims to have no relation to the Jane Austen novel of the same name, viewers may already see some similarities. Both pride and prejudice play a part in more than the cases the prosecutors must investigate. They also play a part in the relationship between Koo Dong Chi, played by Choi Jin Hyuk, and Han Yeol Moo, played by Baek Jin Hee. Han Yeol Moo is so proud that she is ready to contradict her boss while still a rookie. She's too proud to accept Koo Dong Chi's help. And she holds his past actions against him. What those actions are still remains a mystery but they probably have something to do with the death of her young brother. Koo Dong Chi must have been involved in that case since he remembers it so well.

Like Jane Austen's heroine, Han Yeol Moo lets her prejudice against him keep them apart. Hopefully, it will turn out to be a misunderstanding.

The other dramas that night were tied for second place. Both "Secret Door" and "Tomorrow Cantabile" rated 5.2 percent of the viewers.

On "Secret Door," Prince Sado, played by Lee Je Hoon, has come to the realization that will ultimately undo him. He realizes that he can't protect the people of his kingdom and his father, the king, at the same time. It's an impossible position but his father, played by Han Suk Kyu, is so terrified of rebellion that he is willing to take plenty of innocent lives to protect his throne. Both the prince and the king are victims of the king's need for power and his fear of losing it.

On "Tomorrow Cantabile," Joo Won's character Yoo Jin has become jealous of the attention that Yoon Hoo, played by Park Bo Gum, pays to Nae Il, played by Shim Eun Kyung. This results in him hugging and confusing her. And he's not just jealous that Yoon Hoo is paying attention to Nae Il. He's also jealous of Yoon Hoo's abilities as a conductor. As a conductor, Yoon Hoo seems to have the ability to win the heart of an audience, something Yoo Jin has to work on.

Do either "Secret Door" or "Tomorrow Cantabile" have a chance to catch up with "Pride and Prejudice?"
