Which Nokia smartphone is worth the purchase? The Lumia 530, the X2 Dual Sim or the Lumia 520.

In terms of design and display, the Nokia X2 has a 4.3 inches IPS LCD ClearBlack screen display which supports a resolution of 480x800pixels and 217ppi, in addition, the display has a resistant glass. The Lumia 500 also has an IPS LCD scratch resistant display with the same resolution, but the size is smaller measuring 4inches and the pixel density of 233ppi. The Lumia 530 has a 4 inches TFT display with a resolution of 480x854pixels and 245ppi.

The Lumia 520 is the lightest among the three, weighing 124 grams while it measures 119.9x64x9.9 mm. The Lumia 530 weighs 129 grams and its dimensions are 119.7×62.3×11.7 mm, while the Nokia X2 is weighs 150 grams and it measures 121.7×68.3×11.1 mm.

For the hardware and OS, the Nokia X2 is powered by a dual core 1.2GHz Cortex A7 processor based on a Qualcomm MSM8210 Snapdragon 200 chipset and it uses an Adreno 302 GPU, just like the Lumia 530, but it is powered by a quad core 1.2GHz processor. The Lumia 520 has a dual core 1GHz processor, which is backed by a Qualcomm MSM8227 chipset and an Adreno 305 GPU. The X2 has bigger RAM, which is 1GB and 4GB of ROM expandable up to 32GB and it runs on the Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) version. Both Lumia models have 512MB of RAM, but the 520 unit has 8GB of built in storage, which is expandable up to 64GB, while the 530 unit has a lower internal storage of 4GB and has a microSD card capacity, which allows users to expand it up to 128GB. The Lumia 520 runs on the Microsoft Windows Phone 8 OS, which is upgradeable to v8.1, while the Lumia 530 already comes with MWP 8.1 OS.

For the battery and camera specs, the Nokia X2 has a battery capacity of 1800mAh, which allows up to 13 hours of talktime on 3G and 86 hours of music playtime. Both Lumia models have 1430mAh batteries (BL-5J), but the Lumia 520 has a talk time of 9 hours and 40 minutes on 3G and listen to music for 61 hours, while the Lumia 530 allows 10 hours of talktime on 3G and 51hours of music playtime.

All three smartphones have 5MP cameras on the back, but only the X2 unit has another VGA camera on the front. The X2 and the Lumia 520 have in common these features: autofocus, 1/4” sensor size, geo-tagging and video recording at 720p@30fps and the first model has in addition LED flash. The Lumia 530 has only one important feature: 1/4 sensor size and the video recording is at 480p@30fps.

All three Nokia smartphones are budget-friendly, but the X2 is slightly more expensive 135 dollars, while both of the Lumia models cost around 118 dollars.
