Fantasies can start as easily as they can be broken. Jane discovered that in last Monday's episode. Read on for this week's 'Jane The Virgin' season 1 recap!
All her life, Jane fantasized about a lot of things in her life - her future wedding, the ideal person she'll get married to, and even who her father was. The present, however, is nowhere near the image she created in her mind.
For one thing, her wedding is being put together in just two weeks, all the while she's developing feelings for the father of her accidental baby. She doesn't know if her vivid sex dreams are just a side-effect of her pregnancy hormones or if she really does have feelings for Rafael. (The halo of light around Raphael whenever she sees him is just hilarious and so representative of her growing crush on the guy.)
Another belief she kept is her somewhat naive but noble idea of marriage and how couples should work together through all kinds of problems. When she confesses to Michael about her dreams, he balks and pulls away from her. His withdrawal hurt her because she expected him to be supportive of her and work with her to solve the problem and not give up the first chance he gets.
When she does decide to fight for Michael (in the form of a very sexy and rated letter - after all, Jane's a virgin, not a saint) it falls into Raf's hands. He quickly bursts her bubble by telling her that he only sees her as a sister (but he also has a sex dream of later in the episode).
Michael apologizes to Jane after managing to help Petra not get arrested. His efforts were in vain, though, since Rafael already knew about Petra and Zaz' affair.
Jane isn't the only one dealing with a broken fantasy in this 'Jane The Virgin' season 1 recap as well. Raf's cheating wife, Petra, is not really Petra after all.
Towards the end of the episode, she meets up with a man who asks her for money. He also calls her Natalya while speaking to her in Czech. Just what is Petra's dark secret?
Later, when Jane and Michael finally settle their fight, the sweet Latina finds herself in yet another drama. This time, she faces the truth about her father.
Rogelio - aptly garbed in his El Presidente outfit - confesses who he really is to Jane. It's not him, she feels betrayed by, though. She looks up at Xiomara and her tear-stained face perfectly reflects her slowly breaking heart.
Will Jane forgive her mother and accept Rogelio into her life? More importantly, will he walk her down the aisle?
Now that it looks like Raf is also having some vivid sexy fantasies about Jane, will he fight for her or will he stay away from her instead?
