"House of Cards" season 3 spoilers reveal that Kevin Spacey's Frank Underwood could face a danger to his life as showrunner and the cast grieve over the passing of Elizabeth Norment.

The show's creator Beau Willimon is notorious for keeping his cards close to his chest when it comes to the plot for the upcoming season but "House of Cards" season 3 spoilers and rumors regarding the assassination of Frank Underwood at the hands of Claire just won't die down.

It doesn't help that the showrunner has not issued a statement dismissing those rumors.

According to the "House of Cards" season 3 spoilers from Latin Times, based on the original series, Frank Underwood's counterpart was killed by his own wife who ordered Commander Corder to do the job.

"Francis Urquhart (Ian Richardson) was killed by his wife, Elizabeth (Diane Fletcher), in her attempt to protect his legacy -- and that is something we can see Claire doing," it said.

The "House of Cards" season 3 spoilers also claimed that Meechum could be the person who can kill Frank Underwood because of his personal ties to the power couple. It must be remembered that Meechum, Claire and Frank engaged in a menage a trois last season.

Meanwhile, the cast and crew of "House of Cards" grieved over the death of Elizabeth Norment at the age of 61. Executive producer Beau Willimon described the actress to THR, through Christian Times, as "a warm sould and a good friend."

Kevin Spacey, for his part, wrote on Twitter: "RIP Elizabeth Norment. We all loved her and she leaves a void in all of us here at HoC's."

The production company of the Netflix series, Media Rights Capital, also issued a statement which says: "Elizabeth Norment was a talented actress with a beautiful spirit who touched the entire 'House of Cards' family. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends."
