Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have been an on-again-off-again couple for some time now.
Although the “Come & Get It” singer had reportedly sought treatment for her “toxic relationship” with Justin Bieber earlier this year, Selena Gomez is now a stronger woman, evident from her newest single “Heart Wants What It Wants.”
In the first minute of the music video for the track, 22-year-old Selena Gomez is heard having a conversation about a heartbreak, which, of course, is assumed to have been inflicted by 20-year-old Justin Bieber, according to People magazine. The conservation that was heard was reportedly Gomez’s moment of self-reflection as the breakdown was actually the former Disney star talking to herself.
“They taped the mic underneath the table when I was shooting the video,” the “Spring Breakers” actress stated during an interview on “On Air With Ryan Seacrest.”
She continued, “And I had shot the video over a year ago. So, in that state — where I was in that place emotionally — I went in and I went into the room by myself, and I looked at the actual mirror in the music video, and I had a conversation [with] myself to every question I had in my mind in that moment.”
The results were phenomenal and rather chilling as the former child star is heard saying, “You make me feel crazy, you make me feel like it’s my fault.”
The video was so moving that even Justin Bieber, who this video may or may not be about, “thought it was beautiful,” according to Gomez.
