Yes, "Toy Story 4" is actually happening, and even has a release date set for June 16, 2017, according to USA Today.

As details for the highly anticipated "Toy Story 4" surface, it seems like a collaboration of notable stars will be taking on the task of executing Woody and Buzz Lightyear's story.

First off, "Toy Story 4" will reportedly see the return of director John Lasseter, who oversaw the first film in 1995, according to the website Tampabay.com. The story will reportedly be developed by Lasseter, Andrew Stanton of "Finding Nemo," Pete Docter of "Up" and "Monsters Inc." and Lee Unkrich of "Toy Story 3."

To add to the already incredible mix, actress Rashida Jones is reportedly on board as a writer along with screenwriting partner Will McCormack.

"We love these characters so much; they are like family to us," Lasseter said in a statement.

He continued, "We don't want to do anything with them unless it lives up to or surpasses what's gone before. 'Toy Story 3' ended Woody and Buzz's story with Andy so perfectly that for a long time, we never even talked about doing another 'Toy Story' movie. But when Andrew, Pete, Lee and I came up with this new idea, I just could not stop thinking about it. It was so exciting to me, I knew we had to make this movie - and I wanted to direct it myself."

Official casting information for "Toy Story 4" has reportedly yet to be announced.
