The "Hart of Dixie" actress Rachel Bilson has given birth to her baby with longtime partner Hayden Christensen. "The OC" star Rachel Bilson baby name was reportedly derived from one of the fairies in "Sleeping Beauty."
The 33-year-old "Hart of Dixie" actress, who is a first time mother, gave birth to her baby girl on October 29, her representative confirmed.
"Both mother and baby are healthy and doing well," the representative said recently.
According to ABC News, the couple Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen welcomed their first child together after being engaged in 2008.
It can be recalled that the "Hart of Dixie" actress has always been eager to be a mother and e form a family of her own with her longtime boyfriend.
"I definitely have family on the brain. Having kids is something I want to see in my future. I hope," she told Cosmopolitan in an interview in May 2013.
Her best friend and "The OC" co-star Jaime King also revealed how Rachel Bilson wanted to have a baby "so badly."
"I knew she wanted a baby, she wanted it so badly. She's going to be in such good hands," the actress said.
Jaime King also added, "She's in a really good space. I'm really thrilled for her."
Before Rachel Bilson baby news came out, "The OC" star and partner Hayden Christensen met on the set of "Jumper" in 2007 and got engaged December the year after. The couple has been separated for three months but got back together in 2010, the Hollywood Life said in their report.
Rachel Bilson baby was named Briar Rose, which was derived from the one of the name of the three fairies in 1989's "Sleeping Beauty." Princess Aurora of the fairytale "Sleeping Beauty" was protected by the fairies from Maleficent.
