It is not yet good-bye to Loki as Tom Hiddleston will return to reprise his role in "Thor: Ragnarok" and the "Avengers: Infinity War". This has been confirmed by Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios president, as cited on Yahoo! Movies and Huffington Post.

We could remember that Loki would not be returning to "Avengers: Age of Ultron" after its appearance in the "Thor: The Dark World" after writer-director Joss Whedon said it a year ago, as published on Screen Rant.

However, after the announcement in the Phase 3 of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), the turnaround of event seems pointing to bring Loki back in "Thor" and "The Avengers" sequels. This means Hiddleston will be busy shooting for Marvel to reprise his role as Loki who will wreak havoc on Earth.

The return of Loki in the said sequels first created a buzz when actor Idris Elba mentioned his appearance in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" as Heimdall and Tom Hiddleston as Loki. The revelation happened during his interview with Telegraph. He said, "I'm in Avengers. And I'm doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston, and they're like [whispers] - 'Aren't you [meant to be] in Ibiza?"

Why Loki plays a huge part in "Thor: Ragnarok" and "Avengers: Infinity War"?

With now rumor that Loki is set to have a brief but important appearance in "Avengers: Age of Ultron", the story may lead to Loki bringing destruction of Asgard, which is set to happen in "Thor: Ragnarok". If the story of the third sequel of "Thor" is plotted for "Avengers: Infinity War" the huge part of Loki lies in the scepter of Thanos that he lost in "The Avengers".

[Spoiler Alert!] The scepter is now in possession of Baron von Strucker of HYDRA in "Avengers: Age of Ultron". And Loki might be the one to collect the Infinity Gems and give them to Thanos, in case this will be the plot that will be used for "Avengers: Infinity War".
