Some reports say that "Salt" actress Angelina Jolie's upcoming film is so intense that the lead "Unbroken" actor got sick and "couldn't stop crying."

Independent UK said the drama film was so intense as "Unbroken" antagonist actor reportedly threw up.

The drama film follows the story of the late Louis Zamperini (played by O'Connel), the Olympic runner who was taken prisoner by Japanese forces during World War II. The trailer gives a hint that there'll graphic violence in the drama movie.

Meanwhile, Miyavi, a Japanese pop star, also stars in the the drama movie. He played the role of a cruel sergeant Matsuhiro Watanabe. The Japanese actor also shared the harrowing experience of working on the project.

Jolie encouraged Miyavi to immerse himself into the mindset of a man accustomed and desensitised to violence. There is a scene that the Japanese popstar's character brutally beats Zamperini.

He told Vanity Fair, "It was awful torture for me to hate the other actors. I had to have hatred for them. When I had to beat them, I had to think about protecting my family."

He also added, "At the same time, I didn't want to be just a bad guy. I wanted to put humanity in this role. [Matsuhiro] was both crazy and sadistic, but also weak and traumatised."

The Japanese actor also revealed during the torturing scene, he threw up and after many of the films more intense torture scenes, he said “I couldn’t stop crying.”

The drama film is based on the 2010 non-fiction book by Laura Hillenbrand, Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption and it will hit theaters on December 25, 2014.
