Upcoming B-movie "The Burning Dead" starring Machete actor Danny Trejo will include zombies.
The difference of the zombies of this upcoming film is that their blood is a lava and moreover, they came from a volcano. As you can see on the trailer, when the volcano erupted, the zombies appeared as they were blewed by the volcano. "Machete" actor is the one who narrates the story.
This thriller movie is considered as B-Movie or a low-budget film. The synopsis of this B-Movie follows the story of a sheriff who must rescue an estranged family from a mountain during a volcanic eruption. Aside from saving the family from lava and other dangers of the volcanic eruption, the sheriff will fight off a horde of lava-filled zombies brought to life by a curse.
"The Burning Dead" is directed by Rene Perez and the producers are Jeff Miller and Jason Ancona. They also wrote the story of the film. Their co-producer is Mark Sikes. The actors of this film aside Trejo are Moniqua Plante (Nashville), and Robert F. Lyons (Death Wish II, Murphy’s Law). Deadline said that Uncork’d Entertainment will release the film in early 2015, while ITN Distribution is handling foreign.
Meanwhile, Trejo's "Machete Kills Again... In Space" has no news yet about its development. This film is the sequel of 2013 "Machete Kills" which starred by Lady Gaga, Michelle Rodriguez, and Mel Gibson (an antagonist). This movie is also a B-Movie.
On the last part of the latest sequel of "Machete," it shows a trailer like scene where they inform viewers what to expect on the next sequel. Danny's character uses a light-machete to cut down his enemies, including a mechanized Justin Bieber. His allies Michelle Rodriguez, Alexa Vega, and Lady Gaga (who's an enemy in the latest sequel) will return in the next installment.
