Which tablet device is worth the purchase? We compare the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the iPad Air to see which is better.
In terms of design and display, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is expected to come with significantly smaller bezels than before, which will produce the bulk of the phone, whike the iPad Air, meanwhile, continues to take the design language to a new level. The iPad Air feels extremely light on hand due to its thickness of 7.5 mm and weight of just over 450 g.
The iPad Air has a 9.7 inch display which is larger than the Samsung Galaxy Note 4's 5.7 inch display. However, all indications are that the Galaxy Note 4 will come with QHD display that is expected to take its pixel density beyond 500ppi, which will almost double the 264ppi that Apple has on its tablet. The iPad Air has not made significant changes in terms of display technology and the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is not expected to deviate from the Super AMOLED technology.
For its hardware, memory, and camera specs, the iPad Air retains this advantage with the basic version, offering 16 GB storage, which can be overlooked in favor of a 128 GB variant and also offers 32 GB and 64 GB options. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 on the other hand, also excels in this regard by offering from 16 GB to 64 GB of internal storage and expandable memory slots that will support up to 128 GB.
The Samsung phablet has a 16 megapixel camera, while the iPad Air comes with a 5 megapixel camera, which is just about enough for taking good quality pictures and videos. The Galaxy Note 4 has other features which include 4K video recording and offer image stabilization.
The iPad Air with 16 GB storage and Wi-Fi connectivity comes at $440, while the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is expected to cost around $750 in the market.
