Lindsay Lohan news reported that the "Speed The Plow" actress has finally finished the probation for her 2011 theft case. However, recent reports revealed that she is facing another new lawsuit, this time from a web developer.
According to Lindsay Lohan news reported by Daily Mail, Los Angeles Supreme Court Judge James R. Dabney has let go of the actress' probation from her case three years ago. It was 2011 when the former "Mean Girls" lead star allegedly took a $2,500 necklace from a Venice, California store. Lindsay Lohan pleaded no contest to the said case.
Represented by her lawyer Shawn Holley as Los Angeles last week, Lindsay Lohan's probation was lifted by the judge based on positive feedback from her counsellor.
Good reports were also sent by Lindsay Lohan's agency in London, where the former child star works with needy people as part of her 240-hour community service. She has since completed 102 hours of community service, said Daily Mail.
While the probation for her 2011 theft case has been lifted, other recent Lindsay Lohan news reported that the "Speed The Plow" actress and her brother, Michael Lohan Jr, are being sued for $60 Million.
According to Lindsay Lohan news reported by Eyewitness News, the Lohan siblings are facing a lawsuit from a website developer named Fima Potik. In line with the case, the two were also issued with a temporary restraining order last week from Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Saliann Scarpulla prohibiting them to promote an app named "Vigme".
According to the report from TMZ, the actress and her brother allegedly made a deal with Fima Potik. The said tech entrepreneur reportedly had a startup project called "Spotted Friend". With the app, users can supposedly get a glimpse of what's inside celebrities' closets.
Users have the option of buying the celebrities' clothes, and a portion of the sales gets shared between the former star owners and app developers.
TMZ recalled that the former "Mean Girls" lead character even tweeted about "Spotted Friend" in July 2013.
However, the team behind the virtual closet app reportedly parted ways. The Lohan siblings then decided to develop an app similar to "Spotted Friend", called "Vigme".
The celebrity family's plan to launch a similar app reached their former partners. The developers have reportedly issued a cease and desist order and threatens to file a formal lawsuit to prevent Lindsay Lohan and her team from releasing the said app.
The lawyer of Lindsay Lohan responded to lawsuit news: "Allegations of any impropriety in Lindsay Lohan's business relationship concerning this Web site are inaccurate and clearly designed to capitalize on her worldwide recognition as a fashion icon."
