Casey Kasem's dead body was requested to be returned by his children. According to a report from New York Daily News, Kerri Kasem and her group has pleaded with a judge for their father's corpse to be sent back from Norway to America.

The distraught daughter of the late radio star claims that Casey Kasem's dead body is said to be "rotting" at a mortuary in Norway. His second wife, Jean Kasem, reportedly escaped to the said foreign country with the radio host's corpse following accusations of elder abuse.

Kerri Kasem detailed that her stepmother did not have Casey Kasem's dead body embalmed before taking it to Norway.

The declaration filed by Kerri Kasem in Los Angeles Country Superior Court claimed that Casey Kasem's dead body has "decayed significantly" after being "left unrefrigerated for some amount of time."

"They had to use three containers and then seal the box with caulk because the smell was so bad," Kerri Kasem detailed, reported by from New York Daily News.

"The body is decomposing, and probate code states that if the party with priority fails to bury remains, then the duty to bury can go to the next person on the list. So if a spouse doesn't act, then children or siblings can step in," explained the representative of Kerri Kasem and her group.

The spokesperson continued: "I think what Jean has done with the body is horrifying. It's contrary to everything I've learned about transporting a body."

"I believe she's intentionally doing this because we obtained an order authorizing a private autopsy," the rep added, reported by New York Daily News.

Kerri Kasem seems to face her stepmother Jean Kasem head on. She posted on Facebook: "I am my father's daughter. He fought for what is right and just, no matter what or who his adversary was. Now it's my turn."

The radio veteran's death has been surrounded by intrigues as Casey Kasem's children said their father was being kept away from them by their stepmother, Jean Kasem.
