Sony just confirmed the PlanetSide 2 PS4 release date on the official Playstation website! Get hyped, gamers because the PlanetSide 2 PS4 release date has been set!

Sony has listed the PlanetSide 2 PS4 release date for December 31, 2014 in the official Playstation website and this announcement is sure to please PS4 owners that have been waiting for the game to be released on the system.

This announcement comes from the heels of Sony Online Entertainment's Community Manager, Tony "RadarX" Jones' tease of new info for the game to be revealed soon.

Matt Liebl of GameZone.com reported about new details regarding PlanetSide 2 for PS4 and upcoming Playstation Experience event at Las Vegas this coming December 6 and 7.

"Jones has been pretty coy in sharing more details, only teasing that news regarding PlanetSide 2 on PS4 is coming 'so soon you won't know how soon that soon really is. It'll be an explosoon.'"

"So looking ahead, what "big" events does Sony have planned where it would be appropriate to announce something as huge as PlanetSide 2's beta launching on PS4?"

"PlayStation Experience. December 6th-7th at Las Vegas (which also happens to be where SOE Live was held)."

"When asked if PlanetSide 2 will be part of the two-day community event -- which features PlayStation games, panels with developers, and "exciting" game announcements -- Jones answered: 'We're currently talking about it.' "
