It's already the third episode and Nick Burkhardt is still powerless!
When executive producer David Greenwalt teased that this new predicament will last longer than the zombie issue from season three, nobody really expected the cure to be so hard to make. What will happen to our supernatural detective in 'Grimm' season 4?
Despite the disappointment, last Friday's episode gave fans hope. Captain Renard's "she had work done" Hexenbiest mother, offered to help Monroe and Rosalee reverse Adalind's spell on Nick. What Elizabeth figures out, however, makes the three Wesen a bit worried for Nick.
"I wonder if Adalind knew the risk to herself when she made this spell... To the both of them," Elizabeth murmurs after finding out what spell Adalind created to take away the Grimm's power.
Meanwhile, it looks like the characters in question - Nick and Adalind - are already feeling the spell's side effects. Claire Coffee (who plays Adalind) already teased viewers that something "explosive" will happen to the both of them (thanks to the "horrible, magical" connection they have) in episode eight!
Avid fans of 'Grimm' season 4 will have to wait for the next episodes to find out how "horrible" this connection really is.
In the mean time, Nick and Hank investigate a murder that leads them to a boxing gym and its shady promoter. Although Nick doesn't approve, they have no choice but to bring Trubel in to help them again. He ends up endangering himself by fighting off a bull-like Wesen, Heftigauroch, without actually seeing its real form.
Trubel accidently breaks the promoter's neck, making Nick experience a little epiphany. Does he finally realize how important being a Grimm is for him and for others?
On the other hand, Adalind finally escapes the Royal's prison thanks to a Rumpelstiltskin-like man who helps her find a secret passage. Has she escaped for real or is this another trap that Viktor prepared for her? When will she finally realize that her baby isn't with the Royals?
