Keep your eyes open for "The Walking Dead Season 5" cameo or you might miss it.

Rumors of the next "The Walking Dead Season 5" cameo have been circulating ever since the first episode, mostly on whether certain characters from the graphic novel series make it to the TV adaptation.

An upcoming episode of "The Walking Dead Season 5" confirms a cameo from a fan of the series, though, and he's pretty hard to spot because he's rotting and rabid, part of a herd of walkers.

Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian will play a much-coveted role in an episode of the AMC thriller, as a walker privileged with a close-up shot, and hopefully, a kill from one of Rick's crew.

Ian will be featured on an undisclosed, upcoming episode of "The Walking Dead," but it'll be hard to spot him with all the zombie prosthesis and the makeup. Behind-the-scenes photo of Ian bantering with cast sees Andrew Lincoln (Rick) cleanly shaven, though, which might suggest they've reached the safety haven of Alexandra by then. (moviepilot.com)

Scott Ian is no stranger to the blood and guts of the zombie genre; the Anthrax axe-man is host of "Scott Ian's Bloodworks," which features the best makeup and effects artists in the industry.

"There are two things almost impossible for visitors to do on the set of The Walking Dead. The first is get made up to be a zombie. The show's hugely popular, and too many people request to appear on it now, so executive producer/director/makeup effects supervisor Greg Nicotero has to say no to just about every wannabe walker. The second is to share images from upcoming episodes - no matter how small the information discernible from them - months before they're televised." (nerdist.com)

Aaron Paul of "Breaking Bad" was also previously rumored to make a "The Walking Dead Season 5" cameo, but it turned out to be a dud.
