Still the most well known spy in movie history, and still showing no signs of slowing down. James Bond will be back for another Bond film, this time, tentatively called Bond 24. With the film officially starting production next month, the movie has been dropping big news items left and right lately.

The latest Bond 24 news is the addition of actor Christoph Waltz to the already stellar cast. This was reported by The Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye, via his Twitter account. The British entertainment writer and gossip columnist Tweeted: #CHRISTOPHWALTZ SIGNS ON FOR BOND24.Shoots early December Mexico Morocco Austria Italy & London.

There is still no confirmation however, from Sony that the Inglorious Basterds actor will be joining the new bond movie. But if this is true, in what capacity will Christoph Waltz be joining the Bond 24 cast? Empire Online speculates that the Academy Award winning actor might be the next Ernst Stavro Blofeld, the supervillain who is the arch enemy of Agent 007. The role was previously played by actors such as Donald Pleasance, Telly Savatas, Charles Gray, and most memorably by Max von Sydow.

Previously, it was reported that French actress Lea Seydoux (Blue Is The Warmest Color) was being considered for the iconic femme fatale role in this new James Bond film. If confirmed, both Christoph Waltz and Lea Seydoux could very well join the likes of Daniel Craig, who will return as James Bond, plus Ben Whitshaw will be back as Q, Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny, and Ralph Fiennes as Gareth "M" Mallory will all be back in Bond 24.

Sam Mendes will be back at the director's chair for Bond 24, based on a script by John Logan, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. No word yet on the official title and plot, but stay tuned here as we keep tabs on more Bond 24 news.
