Interstellar Movie Review: Is Director Christopher Nolan To Blame For Reported Sound Issues? A New York Cinema Points To Director For Interstellar's Sound Problems!

The new movie from Christopher Nolan has been wowing audiences for its spectacle and amazing visual effects. Especially when viewed on Imax, which is reportedly Nolan's preferred way that audiences should view the film, Interstellar is fantastic. And Interstellar's movie reviews are generally positive, especially for its visual effects, there has apparently been some issues with the movie's sound.

Reportedly, a movie theater in New York has been receiving complaints about sound problems with the Dark Knight director's movie. The multiplex, the Cinemark Tinseltown in Rochester New York has had numerous complaints, so much so that they had to put up a sign, absolving themselves of any fault from bad Interstellar movie reviews because of sound issues. Their sign goes, "Please note that all of our sound equipment is functioning properly. Christopher Nolan mixed the soundtrack with an emphasis on the music. This is how it is intended to sound."

According to a report by the entertainment website, The Hollywood Reporter, the sound problems were experienced not on the Imax screenings of Interstellar. Apparently, they occurred during those movie viewings in the traditional digital cinemas.

Now, a recent update on the report states that maybe the Cinemark Tinseltown theater was actually partly to blame for the negative Interstellar movie reviews about its sound. According to The Hollywood Reporter, "A Cinemark corporate spokesman told The Hollywood Reporter that there were no issues with the film itself, and that the location instead experienced technical issues due to a hard-drive problem that have since been resolved. The signs were taken down earlier on Thursday."

Despite these setbacks in sound, the movie has been going strong at the box office, reaping major dollar earnings in the worldwide box office. In US soil, it is just right behind Disney's Big Hero 6 at the box office.
