D.C. Woman searches for lost dog for a year!
People reported that a woman who resides in District of Columbia spent over $35K in her efforts to search for her missing beloved dog.
Georgetown's Janet Mihalyfi, worked with psychics and private investigators, distributed fliers that pictured her pet, put cameras around the woods and scattered dog food within the premises that surround the spot where her Rottweiler pet was last seen.
The D.C. woman searches for her lost dog since it went missing on Nov. 9, 2013. 5-year old dog Havoc and another dog owned by Janet, ran around the woods that day , in the company of their owner. Without warning, the two dogs chased the deer that seemed to appear out of nowhere!
The D.C. woman searches for her lost dog as she refused to live her life without her pet. Janet said in an interview with the Associated Press on Thursday:
"Anybody that has a pet knows that they are a family member,"
"I love him as I would anybody that I'm close with ... I can't give up on him."
Janet has spent most of her free time on the weekends working with concerned parties within the past year, looking for Havoc.
She narrated the experience via these comments:
"It's been a very emotionally taxing year," she said. "It just feels like all these efforts - why am I not getting closer to getting to him?"
Janet hoped that someday, she'll find her pet. In the meantime, she doesn't regret spending that amount of money for a year to look for her animal.
Janet added:
"I know people are in shock by the number but there's also a correlation between how long I go after this,"
"Lost-dog searches are expensive and this has lasted a year."
