HTC One Google Play Editions Android 5 Lollipop Update
According to recent reports Android 5.0 Lollipop updates are underway.
Au.IBT reported that older devices have started and if you are the proud owner of the HTC One Google Play Edition device then you are might be due for an update.
Many reports reveal poor performance by Android Kitkat updates - all the way from Android 4.2 to Android 4.4.4. And Google is releasing Android 5 or L (for Lollipop).
Analysts say that HTC One Google Play Editions are likely to be on a fast track for android OS updates similar to Nexus handsets.
Mo Versi, HTC's VP of Product Management, added light on the situation on Twitter: HTC "is targeting an "early next week" rollout of the Lollipop updates for the HTC One Google Play Edition."
However, "it's still unclear whether he (Versi) meant both the One (M8)'s GPE and that of the original One, or just the former," reports
At Snyder rate, most analysts say discounting delays, HTC One should be available in just a few days.

The report added, "Android 5.0 Lollipop default features include Android Runtime engine for better performance of applications, OpenGL ES 3.1 for improved mobile graphics, Smart Lock for better pairing management between devices and SELinux implementation for increased protection against vulnerabilities and malware attacks."
