In a strange twist to what is already a very controversial case, Amanda Knox and former boyfriend Rafaelle Sollecito have been convicted again for the murder of Meredith Kercher which took place in Italy on 2007. An Italian court found the pair guilty earlier this year in January. This is the latest Amanda Knox murder case update following very sensational proceedings over the muder.

It will be remembered that Meredith Kercher was found dead at the cottage she was sharing with Amanda Knox in Perugia Italy. The main murder suspects became American Amanda Knox and her Italian ex boyfriend Rafaelle Sollecito. The first Amanda Knox murder case update shocked the world: the couple were found guilty of murder and were sentenced to serve more than 20 years in prison.

But after an appeal, they were both found not guilty in 2011. The pair had spent four years in jail before their acquittal. Amanda has since returned home to start her life anew. She even wrote a blog about her experience of being accused of murder, and this was published by the Seattle Met last October, entitled "What It's Like to be Wrongly Accused," following her conviction again last January.

"When you're accused of a horrific act you didn't do, you inevitably experience shock, disorientation, confusion. There's a pinpoint knot that spasms between your shoulder blades, behind your heart, making it hard to sit still. There's pressure that squeezes your temples and tingles on the edges of your eyeballs, making it hard to concentrate," she wrote.

Now, with the overturned acquittal, there will be another hearing of the case because of the appeals submitted by both Knox and Sollecito. The highest court of Italy must either uphold these convictions or overturn them. If convicted again Knox has confirmed that she will become "a fugitive," as the Italian government attempts to extradite her.
